ITALY/US: Outline North America LLC is based in Farmingdale in New York State, reports PSN-e. The new operation is headed up by vice-president/director of operations Thomas Bensen, who has more than thirty years of industry experience, including a stint at the helm of Powersoft's US operation.

Giorgi Biffi, Outline's international sales and marketing director, commented: "I've known Tom Bensen for quite a long time and have been impressed by his career and the way he has always been very successful in introducing high class brands on to the US market. Before we set up our relationship with Tom, I had individually met a number of people in the US pro audio market who have a great and deep respect for him. His current successful venture with Powersoft was further proof of his skill and experience, so we are absolutely convinced that he is the perfect professional person to represent our quality products."

Thomas Bensen said that he was "proud to be part of the Outline family. This is a company that has vision - it has tremendous eye towards the future - [and] they have a tremendous resource in their R&D, and I see nothing but amazing things happening for Outline."

Bensen highlighted the possibilities for Outline's new Mantas vertical line array (pictured), which is said to combine light-weight construction with high output and easy deployment.

"We are trying to save on energy, we are trying to save on trucking, [and] we are trying to save money," he noted. "The response in America has been really one of great anticipation waiting for this product line to really develop and come in."
