The specialist sales division of Liverpool, UK-based ADLIB has sold an L-Acoustics KARA PA system – fully flight-cased and complete with LA8 amplifiers – to Newcastle-based sound, lighting and AV rental company Nitelites.
The sale comprised 24 KARA loudspeakers, eight SB18 subs, eight SB28 subs, eight LA8 amplifiers and full set of ADLIB-designed flight-cases for the KARAs, flying cradles and amp racks. Nitelites also purchased all the associated rigging and accessories to enable the system to be flown or ground-stacked as required.
The KARA deal was co-ordinated by Nick Turner for ADLIB Sales and, from Nitelites, Jamie Moore and Andy Magee (pictured).
High quality, flexibility and ease of deployment were among the features that led Nitelites to select the KARA system.
Nitelites’ new acquisition’s first full UK tour is with Australian children’s band The Wiggles. The system will also be used – along with other L-Acoustics equipment owned by ADLIB – at a host of summer festival commitments, including the Mouth of the Tyne Festival in Newcastle and a classical event at Glamis Castle in Perthshire.
“We have enjoyed collaborating with ADLIB for some time, and as they became one of the largest L-Acoustics rental houses in the UK, it made sense for us to buy into the brand,” said Moore, who described the service, support and back-up received from ADLIB as “brilliant”.
