Nick Beck makes a run for it

Whilst most people will spend this bank holiday weekend relaxing, PSNEurope’s very own sales manager Nick Beck will take part in the Edinburgh Marathon, impressing us all before he pursues a career change.

Never one to shy away from a challenge (like selling full-page ads!), PSNEurope’s sales manager Nick Beck will see months of training come to a head as he takes on the Edinburgh Marathon this bank holiday weekend. “The only competitive running I have ever taken part in was tied to Dave Robinson in the Vision Charity Soho Fun Run, a three-legged drinking race around Soho,” laughed Nick. “I decided for my own sense of achievement that I wanted to run a marathon.” More than just a personal challenge, Nick is running in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the UK’s only national charity working for families with CF and to find a cure. “Once I started fundraising, I realised there is so much more to it and I am delighted to be supporting a great cause, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Many have donated already for which I am truly grateful but there is still plenty of time to support the CF Trust through my Just Giving Page.” To support Nick’s marathon effort, and the CF Trust, please visit If any further incentive is required, Nick will be leaving PSNEurope the following week, having played a major role in our ongoing success over the past six years. “I just want to say how great it has been working with such a fantastic group of people in the audio business. If you fancy joining me for a drink on my last day, then pop down to Angel Islington on 30 May.” “Nick’s contribution to PSNEurope has been outstanding, and we shall miss him terribly. We’ve shared some fantastic trips together: our fact-finding missions to Ibiza and San Francisco particularly stand out,” coughed the editor. “What’s more, I’m pleased that stumbling around London’s post-production community one summer night, semi-drunk and fastened to my ankle, has inspired him to greater things. It’s like an Olympic dream, isn’t it? Except, if it was the Olympics, we probably wouldn’t have been able to tell you anything about it.”
