UK: Yamaha Music UK has announced that Karl Christmas has been promoted to the role of deputy gm, Commercial Audio (CA). Previously CA marketing manager, Christmas has taken on the new role following the appointment of Nick Cook to a pan-European marketing position. Christmas will lead the local team in the UK alongside general manager Ricci Hodgson.

One of the longest-serving members of the CA team, Christmas assumes overall responsibility for the coordination and management of the UK sales and marketing operations, and will oversee developments in new sectors, including installation.

"Karl's promotion is a very important element of our ambitious plans for the future," commented Hodgson. "As our business model grows way beyond mixing consoles into new areas, it's vital we have the right people in place to offer dealers and end-users an excellence of service that will continue to distinguish Yamaha from our competitors.
