Coomber Electronic Equipment today announced the launch of what it describes as “the market’s first ever range of bespoke sound amplifiers”.
The 44500 Sound Amplifier Series marks a major change of direction for the Worcester-based manufacturer of audio and AV equipment for the education sector, which was bought out by a consortium of local business in February (see New trio of owners for historic Midlands manufacturer Coomber).
The 44500 range, targeted at both the UK and international markets, is made to order, meaning customers will specify the exact number inputs, outputs and media playback options required, as well as choosing whether to include tablet/smartphone integration and mains or battery operation.
Aaron Kernaghan, Coomber’s managing director (pictured), explains: “As a new management team we are delighted to be able to launch such an innovative […] product so soon after taking over the firm.
“We have listened to the feedback from all of our customers and what they would like to see in their audio solutions. The initial responses were extremely positive and have helped us to develop the new 44500 Sound Amplifier Series. It’s a range of products ideal for the education and corporate markets. Robust and easy to set up, the amplifiers are also perfect for indoor or outdoor venues including halls, meeting rooms, classrooms, fitness studios and even churches.
“The bespoke approach is also something completely new for the industry. It gives our customers options like never before and the opportunity to specify an amplifier to their exact requirements.
“The launch is the first step in our ambitious innovation programme and we are well on course to achieving our objective of releasing new Coomber products on a quarterly basis throughout 2015.”
