RCF has announced a significant expansion of its UK operation.
Industry stalwart Miles Brooke, who brings 20 years’ experience in pro and consumer audio from the D&M Group (Denon, Marantz), will take up the newly created position of regional sales manager (south), focussing on installed sound and rental/touring customers, with Mick Butler continuing to represent the Italian manufacturer in Scotland and northern England.
Dean Davoile will become director of sales for RCF’s UK office, while Phil Price – who originally set up the RCF UK operation 25 years ago – takes up a new role in international sales, voice evacuation systems. (Brooke, Davoile and Price are pictured L–R).

Audio Precision (AP) has announced the appointment of Jayant Datta (pictured right) as chief technology officer. Datta, formerly assistant vice-president of audio R&D at THX, will work closely with Tom Kite, PhD, AP’s VP of engineering, and Bruce Hofer, its co-founder and chief analogue engineer.
The AVnu Alliance elected a new board of directors at the inaugural Conference on Time Sensitive Networking and Applications in April. Gary Steubing joins as president and Kevin Stanton (pictured) as chairman.
Andy Copeland has joined HHB Communications as technical sales support engineer. Copeland (pictured right) is a graduate of the University of Huddersfield, where he completed work experience as an Avid pro-audio sales advisor and qualified as an Avid certified support representative (ACSR PT400).
Marquee AV has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Paul Day as business development manager. Day (pictured, right, with MD Mark Brown) has spent the last seven years as a regional sales consultant at Bose.
Mic manufacturer Mojave Audio has named Kevin Parker as director of sales. Parker’s background encompasses “sales management, marketing, strategic market development, artist relations and retail aspects of pro audio and MI”, says Mojave.
Renkus-Heinz has appointed David Schuster as production manager. A manufacturing/operations veteran, Schuster (pictured right) previously held high-level positions at General Dynamics, Pacific Scientific and JWC Environmental.
Canford has been appointed sole UK and Republic of Ireland distribution partner for the new Green-Go range of digital intercom-over-Ethernet products. Unlike other digital intercom designs, Green-Go, by Dutch company ELC Lighting, does not employ an expensive central matrix: All interconnection routing data, system set-up and user preferences are stored locally within each user station, including beltpacks, which eliminates the possibility of a disastrous central failure.
K-array has named Appel Electronique Industrie (AEI) as its exclusive distributor for France. “AEI has a good understanding of the pro-audio market in France and is really enthusiastic about our systems,” says K-array president Alessandro Tatini. “I am happy to welcome them to our team of international distributors so that we can continue to grow the K-array brand globally.”
Preco has been announced as exclusive UK distributor for French broadcast equipment manufacturer Rami Audio. Preco’s James Thomas says: “Rami really does have an extensive range, and the product design and build quality is right up there with the best. It’s our job to get the word out about this great brand here in the UK.”
