IBC has announced that the Society for Broadband Professionals (SCTETM) has honoured IBC Chairman Mike Martin, with the 2014 Tom Hall award for outstanding services to broadband engineering.

The award was presented to him at SCTE’s annual gala dinner on 22 March 2014 in London.

Martin was appointed to his current role with IBC in 2008, and in his previously role, he acted as sales director for the Vinten group until his retirement in 2001.

Martin comments: "The last decade has seen enormous change, but with a succession of leading initiatives and special feature areas, we have ensured that the Exhibition and Conference both feature the cutting-edge products, systems and concepts driving the broadband industry. And now with our latest Content Everywhere shows we are charting the massive shift that the rise of mobile broadband is causing, both at home in Europe and further afield."

The IBC Content Everywhere shows will take place in 2014/15 in Amsterdam, Dubai and Sao Paulo.
