Meyer Sound promotes two managers to senior positions

Meyer Sound has promoted two managers to senior management positions.

Amy Luley has been named director of US sales operations and Mary Molnar has been appointed technical services manager, Americas. Both will be reporting to the SVP of sales and marketing John McMahon.

In her new position, Luley now assumes direct responsibility for managing Meyer Sound’s team of 15 sales managers and sales engineers throughout the US. She will take charge of account management, dealer contracts and dealer relationships.

“We are transitioning to a new structure, moving away from strict geographical territory management to a more flexible account structure, allowing us to strengthen our dealer relationships and focus more on key vertical markets,” said Luley. “We have positioned a team of local, regionally-based sales managers and sales engineers who will be working together to provide our US dealers with exceptional service and dedicated attention. We are focusing on strengthening and expanding our dealer education programme, with an emphasis on our unique, industry-leading solutions.”

Luley cited, in particular, a restructuring of sales in the Western US, where the existing team will remain in place, but some specific shifts in accounts, territories and market emphasis can be anticipated.

Since joining Meyer Sound in 2014, Luley has served as Salesforce.com administrator, sales operations manager, and sales and business development project manager.

In her newly appointed role as technical services manager, Americas, Molnar assumes overall responsibility of Meyer Sound’s design services and technical support teams throughout the Western hemisphere.

“My role is communicating with all teams involved in the design of technical solutions and ongoing support to ensure they respond quickly and effectively to customer needs,” explained Molnar. “By integrating design services and technical support, we will get our design teams out in the field more often, giving them a feel for how their designs work in the real world. Our overall goal is to be more collaborative and team-focused, which ultimately benefits our clients.”

Molnar joined Meyer Sound in 2018 as strategic projects manager. For the 25 years prior to that, she held key management and sales positions at San Francisco rental partner McCune AVL, overseeing company logistics and managing major projects.

“These two new positions will be of critical importance in making our new structures for sales and technical services work effectively for our growing dealer network and customer base in the Americas,” said Meyer Sound executive VP Helen Meyer. “We are happy that we already had the talent in house to fill them, and we are also pleased that by placing two very capable women in these important posts we are further advancing gender balance in the industry.”
