Martin Audio will be sponsoring the drinks reception at the start of the evening. The High Wycombe-based company is no stranger to the venue: the six bespoke Martin Audio towers and ASX subs in The Box main room have helped the MoS win award after award in the last five years. Recently, the MoS picked up the Best Club Sound System Design for the fourth consecutive year at the prestigious 28th Annual International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) in Miami – part of the Winter Music Awards. It was the only venue outside the United States to be nominated in category.
Martin Audio launched the MLA Mini, the third component in its groundbreaking sound reinforcement toolbox, at Prolight + Sound in April. Mini follows the global success of the Multicellular Loudspeaker Array (launched in 2010) and its sister system the MLA Compact (2012). MLA Mini, which is due to ship this month, combines “lightweight, radical design inspiration” and a compact footprint with the award-winning multi-driver MLA technology to produce a small-scale, portable system for installed and live sound applications.
“Martin Audio is proud to be involved with the inaugural Pro Sound Awards in September, at the Ministry of Sound,” said Martin Audio managing director Anthony Taylor. “
This venue has a special part in Martin Audio’s heritage with our PA system having contributed to the Ministry of Sound being awarded the Best Club Sound System Design for the last four years. Celebrating this industry and recognising those that continue to innovate and make their mark is important to Martin Audio, and as Drinks Reception Sponsor we are sure these festivities will get off to a great start.”
MLA technology has also been confirmed by Capital Audio as the system that will be used for the main stage in London’s Hyde Park this summer.
“Martin Audio at the Pro Sound Awards? Brilliant! It’s like a homecoming,” remarked PSNEurope editor Dave Robinson. “And I hear they’re bringing a dice-based drinking game to get the party started, too.”
