3D audio specialists IOSONO and pro-audio manufacturer DirectOut have announced they will jointly develop and integrate audio hardware components, such as D.O.TEC A/D converters, into the next generation of IOSONO spatial audio processors. This week, both companies will show their latest products together at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. “Just like DirectOut, we at IOSONO aim to provide our customers with the best sound experience possible. This collaboration enables us to respond faster and more tailored to individual customer requirements,” said Olaf Stepputat, CEO of IOSONO. IOSONO has used DirectOut equipment in several of their cinema and event installations, including the German Pavillon at World Expo 2012 and Robert Wilson’s Via Crucis at Kunstfest in Weimar, Germany. “We’re very excited to extend our collaboration with IOSONO, as they have been successfully installing high quality sound systems since many years and we have already realised exciting projects in the past,” added Stephan Flock, CEO of DirectOut. In related news, DirectOut has announced the availability of the Ravenna extension board for its D.O.TEC PRODUCER.COM MADI (de-)embedder. The new option card supports up to eight audio channels from any Ravenna stream, which can be converted to analogue, MADI, AES or ADAT. www.directout.euwww.iosono-sound.com
