The music production software market is predicted to grow by more than 9% between 2017-2021 thanks to an increasing number of people buying DJ equipment.
Audio Media International reports that the decline of people wanting to learn a musical instrument could explain the upward trend in production software sales that has been revealed in a new report this month.
According to the Global Music Production Software Market report, this particular segment is set to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 9.01% between the years of 2017-2021.
One of the key drivers of this growth is the increased use of software by DJs for song mixing.
“These software are compatible with the hardware of a number of DJ consoles belonging to different brands,” stated the report. “These allow easy plug and play options by importing songs from a local device. Therefore, with the growing number of DJs across the globe, the adoption of music production software is likely to grow during the forecast period.”
