Vinicio Tanoni, one of FBT’s founders, passed away on 20 February in his home in Recanati, surrounded by his family. He was 92.

Tanoni and business partner Bruno Baldoni created FBT Audio (Factory Baldoni Tanoni) in 1963. The company has a purpose-built factory complex in the Marche (central coastal) region where it designs and manufactures a wide range of products, from open-air line array speaker systems through to static installations in concert halls and mobile PA systems for bands and DJs.

FBT successfully collaborated with US brand Renkus-Heinz several times over the years. The QUBE line array was one such undertaking.

Roberto Mataloni, export manager, said: "From the early days, [the partners] went through decades of hard work and dedicated attention to every single person inside our company. Vinicio has been an inspiration and a light for all of us. He will be deeply missed."

Following the funeral on 22 February in Recanati, the Tanoni family issued a statement thanking everyone for their messages of condonlence. "We like to remember Mr. Vinicio as a hard working entrepreneur, always in the forefront… never in the first row," they said.
