System integrator Exton has acquired Germany-based Broadcast Systems Integration BTS for an undisclosed amount.

Exton CEO Sverrir Hreidarsson, says: “Broadcasting is a mission critical business where customers appreciate the added value that comes with dedicated to quality, innovation and service. BTS is an internationally experienced and innovative systems integrator offering high quality, OB vans and studio solutions. A strong brand with customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Now their services will be represented in Scandinavia too.”

Exton was originally a systems integrator for large venues, however the company’s broadcast services have grown in recent years and is currently Grass Valley’s Channel Partner in Denmark, Norway and Iceland.

Ewald Fehlauer, CEO of BTS, says: “BTSW is excited to become part of the Exton family of companies.”While we offer new and additional services to Exton’s arsenal in the North, we likewise gain from their original quality and expertise in broadcast sound and lighting, areas traditionally not serviced by BTS. 2014 will be a very exciting year with numerous opportunities in the Middle East an Asia as well as our own backyard.”
