Blue Microphones, TC Electronic, Allen & Heath and Shure Distribution were among the exhibitors at the inaugural Music Production Show, which took place at Leeds Armouries on 13/14 May.
Approximately 1000 people attended the event, which also counted Avid, Sennheiser and Genelec among its extensive exhibitor roll-call.
“We were delighted with the response to our first Music Production Show,” said show manager Jason Hunt. “Feedback from exhibitors has been exceptional, with many pledging their support for shows in the future – and visitors were extremely positive about the weekend.
“It was a great first show; we would have loved visitor numbers to be slightly stronger on the Saturday, but exhibitors haven’t expressed a similar view to us, so maybe we’re being a little hard on ourselves. It was certainly a great foundation on which to build.”
Audio-Technica senior UK marketing manager Harvey Roberts was among those who praised the inaugural show: “We were very pleased with the first Music Production Show, both in terms of the quality of exhibitors and the numbers of visitors during the weekend. The response to our audio and microphone seminar was excellent, reflecting the interest in the show’s educational content. Overall, it was an impressive first MPS and we look forward to being involved in future events.”
Organiser UK Music Show’s next event is the Bristol Guitar Show on 25 September at Ashton Gate Stadium.
