The UK-based manufacturer has extended its long-running relationship with exclusive Denmark/Finland distributor, Alfa Audio, to cover the Swedish market as well.
The enhanced agreement will draw on the support of Denmark-based Alfa Audio’s parent company, Arva Trading.
Explaining the extended role for Alfa Audio, EM Acoustics’ operations director, Mike Wheeler, remarked: “They’ve done a great job for us so far. It’s been beneficial for us to be a part of the impressive roster of top quality pro-audio brands in their portfolio, and Alfa Audio has benefited from representing EM Acoustics as it has broadened their field of application and enabled them to offer a choice of system and budget options to customers that wasn’t previously available to them. Alfa’s pro-active approach to the market in offering seminars and workshops to both customers and end-users has also worked well for us. It ensures that everyone gets the best out of their choices and matches our own philosophy perfectly.”
Alfa Audio’s current roster includes d&b audiotechnik, Sony Pro Audio and Digidesign Venue. The company is also a dealer for DPA microphones.
Lars Frederiksen from Alfa Audio commented: “At Alfa Audio we are very excited by the EM Acoustics products. They are great-sounding loudspeakers and the build quality is unsurpassed. Although the awareness is growing fast, the brand has still not quite received the attention that it deserves. We see a great potential for EM Acoustics in our markets and are proud that they trust us to represent them, not only in Denmark and Finland but now also in Sweden.”
The announcement follows hot on the heels of EM Acoustics’ latest product introduction: the X3 horn-loaded PA system (pictured). The new launch – the companion to the Quake subwoofer – comprises a horn-loaded 15” LF drive unit, a horn-loaded 8” MF drive unit and six 1” compression drivers on a bespoke waveguide, yielding a horizontal line source that allows X3 enclosures to be tight-packed together to form arrays.
