Alexander Schwarz from Hosenfeld won the Segway i2 Personal Transporter that was offered up as a contest prize at this year’s Prolight+Sound exhibition in Frankfurt.
In a significant development, the 2010 event saw a move for the EVI Audio group brands to Hall 8.0 – a change in location that provided an opportunity for a new approach to presentation.
“We considered very carefully the implications of the new location with a view to realising a concept that would be as pleasing aesthetically as it was functional. I think we were successful in this,” said Robert Hesse, v-p sales EMEA of Bosch Communications Systems and MD of EVI Audi GmbH, adding that “even competitors congratulated us on the new booth”.
Characteristic of the new design was the clear separation of the brands Electro-Voice and Dynacord, with satellite booths in Hall 6.1 and Hall 9 assigned respectively to Electro-Voice Microphones and RTS/Telex.
“This new concept proved an absolute success right away,” added Hesse. “Through the various booths, we were able to address different target groups directly. As is clear from the enormous number of visitors they received throughout the show, we did everything right this year at the Prolight+Sound. We received confirmation of this not only from dealers, distribution partners and consumers but even from certain of our competitors.”
In order to help familiarise visitors with the new booth numbers, EVI devised a special competition with the prize of a Segway i2 Personal Transporter. Around 1,000 show visitors took place, with Alexander Schwarz from Hosenfeld ultimately being declared the winner in a video draw that is now available on the Dynacord homepage.
