The Brighton-based audio post house has now separated its retail sales activities into a new arm under the banner of out post distribution. The move complements out post’s ongoing success with Punchlight automatic Cue Light and Timecode display systems, for which it has been serving as exclusive UK distributor for nearly three years.
The success of Punchlight has seen the company sell systems to Bang Post Production in Cardiff, Waves Studio in London and the Beijing Film Academy, as well as many other international clients.
To mark the launch of out post distribution, a 25% discount is being offered across the Punchlight range for the whole of August. The new arm has also taken on products from the likes of Audient, Digigram, Avatone and Benchmark.
“We decided to split the sales into out post distribution to ensure that customers of our audio post services do not get confused about what our core business is, which of course is our work in the film, television and gaming markets. However, we want to drive the retail side forward and so splitting the company seemed the ideal option and has met with a very positive response,” explained managing director (and frequent PSNE contributor) Rob Speight.
