The MCR-040 (pictured) and MCR-141 Micro Audio Systems – available in ten colour options and each featuring an integral iPod dock – are described as the “perfect partner [of] the colour-coordinated fashion-conscious buyer”.

The specification includes a variety of Yamaha innovations, including the Active Servo Technology speaker set-up and a highly efficient 30W digital amplifier.

Both models offer a CD player, radio, USB connections and the iPod dock. The MCR-141 also includes offers Yamaha’s air-wired technology, allowing the system to be controlled wirelessly from an iPod.

Expected street prices are £220 for the MCR-040 and £275 for the MCR-140.
