The UK-based microphone and microphone systems has appointed Jon Han (pictured) to the role of regional sales manager South East Asia and announced the expansion of its regional office after only a year of operation.

Just one year after Clockaudio established a regional support office in Singapore, the company is on the move to larger premises in the central east district of the city. Clockaudio is also ‘upgrading’ the facility to ‘full’ regional office status.

The company’s growth across the region has also resulted in the appointment of Jon Han, who takes on responsibilities previously handled by Rob Yeo of Rytech Marketing. Previously business development manager, pro-audio division for Audio-Technica SEA, Han has also worked for systems integrator and AV supplier Spectrum Conferencing Pte.

“South East Asia is a rapidly expanding and hugely important market for us, where our products and solutions are being specified in numerous highly prestigious projects,” said Clockaudio’s international sales and marketing manager, Rod Geary. “The move to a full regional sales office has been rapid and I am very happy to welcome Jon Han to the new regional sales position. He comes to us with extensive knowledge of the professional audio market, and particular expertise in integrated conferencing and professional AV solutions.”

Invited to consider the products that would be leading the expansion effort, Geary told PSNE: “Through desk boundary microphones and the 'Retractor' CRM series, in particular, [we] are generating a lot of business in the AV installation and systems integration markets. Integrators, contractors and clients are looking at the concept of the retractor microphone very favourably for both new build and retrofit projects.

“With corporate and commercial sector projects the principal area of growth for us in the region, new products are planned which will address further applications in that market. At the same time, however, we are developing innovative sound reinforcement solutions for other markets that will broaden our business.”
