Pro-audio products are often intended to suit multiple market segments, writes David Davies. But what are the implications for a business when lift-off is achieved in a less-than-premeditated way? The headache-inducing costs that tend to be associated with R&D mean that there has always been an emphasis on extracting maximum value from the resulting products – a focus that is arguably more intense than ever in these perilous times.
