Assistive hearing specialist, Contacta, has announced a partnership with UK electronics distributor, AVSL Group.

AVSL will now supply Contacta’s induction loops and speech transfer systems to their network of more than 600 installers and trade customers.

Rachel Moran, sales and marketing director at AVSL Group, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce Contacta as our exclusive supplier of induction hearing loops and speech transfer systems, adding their entire range to our comprehensive loop drivers offering. We were keen to extend our provision for installers and Contacta has enabled us to offer a complete range with industry-leading credentials. There’s an audible difference for people with hearing loss, and the systems are ideal for installations large and small.”

“Our loyal and ever-growing installer base are excited to offer these products to their customers, particularly in light of January’s new revision of the BS 8300 Standard, which now specifies hearing loop systems in greater detail, aiming to make all buildings inclusive for disabled users.”

Contacta has a 48-year history in the assistive hearing sector. The Kent-based company designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of high quality British-made products worldwide.

Head of business development at Contacta, Ran Meyrav, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with a distributor with such a strong reputation and heritage. Our principles of delivering the highest quality in everything that we do includes selecting high level distribution partners like AVSL.

“We want to ensure our products are correctly installed and commissioned, using best practice advice, so that a real solution that works for users is delivered. AVSL offered us an ideal platform for this and we are very pleased with this new partnership.

“We have seen an increase in demand for our products since the launch of the revised BS8300 Standard and the AVSL installers network provides an ideal channel to market for implementation of this in the field.”
