Members of the commercial AV industry in the USA have joined together to form a cancer awareness initiative called TEAM, or Tell Everyone Awareness Matters.

TEAM will focus on education and communication, aiming to promote the message that positive impact healthcare and lifestyle choices can help reduce risks of serious disease.

Founding members Juice Goose, Community Professional Loudspeakers, HP Marketing (Colorado) and Women in AV (WAVE) are encouraging all those within the commercial systems market, including AV manufacturers, distributors, sales representatives, integrators, resellers, end users, and related organisations, to join the awareness effort by showing support via the Facebook page and by encouraging proper lifestyle and healthcare choices among their professional contacts, associates, family and friends.

“Community is extremely pleased to be a part of the TEAM Awareness Program and encourages others in the AV industry to do the same,” Grace Paoli, marketing communications manager for Community Professional Loudspeakers, told PSNEurope.

“A grassroots wellness programme aimed at providing information on healthy lifestyles and preventing and managing cancer, TEAM encourages health education and influencing others to change habits and attitudes to save lives. The ethos of Community is reflected in the choice of our company name. In TEAM we see a mission that extends our company’s values to the wider industry, with a worthwhile goal we can take pride in working toward.”
