This year's Association of British Theatre Technicians Theatre Show will take place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on 16/17 June, reports David Davies. Organisers report a 15% increase in exhibitors from 2008 and say that they are incorporating additional space into the show design in order to accommodate participants.
Lab.gruppen, Nexo and Roland UK are among the manufacturers making their ABTT Theatre Show debuts in 2010, while there is also said to be a larger contingent of exhibitors from the engineering fraternity, reflecting the parallel scheduling of the ITEAC (International Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference).
d&b, Sound Technology, Alcons Audio, Autograph, Duran Audio, Opus Audio, Fuzion, Allen & Heath, Yamaha and HD Pro Audio are among the other companies to have booked space for the 2010 event.
In line with the increased demand for stand space, organisers will use the mezzanine area of the Lawrence Hall for the first time this year.
"We are very pleased to be in the position of having to look for space to accommodate exhibitors," said show director Roger Fox. "The ITEA Conference is increasing the focus on the Theatre Show, but in general people in the industry want to see the latest products and discuss what is going on in the market. Our exhibition provides that forum and this year's event is set to be the best ever."
