What is it?
An ultra-slim digital recorder offering 16-bit 44.1kHz PCM recording to internal 2GB memory.
Weighing only 49g, the Pocketrak 2G is 13mm thick and designed to fit unobtrusively in the pocket. At maximum quality (stereo linear PCM mode), it offers recording up to 3 hours and 10 minutes, but includes a range of MP3 modes providing significantly longer recording times. The supplied rechargeable battery provides up to 9 hours continuous operation and the unit can also be powered by standard AAA batteries. A built-in USB connecter slides out for connection to a computer, allowing files to be transferred, then edited, using the bundled Cubase AI software. The built-in stereo mic’ can be tilted upwards to cut sound reflections when the Pocketrak is placed on a table as well as minimising pickup of mechanically-transmitted noise. In manual mode, record level is fully adjustable using level meters and peak indicator, but for basic speech recording an ALC function is also available. Other features include a built-in speaker to check recordings, variable playback speed and a line input for external sources.
