Paris broadcast/pro-AV tradeshow SATIS will open as planned tomorrow following last week’s terror attacks.
Security for the event will be increased, says organiser Reed Expositions France, which “may lead to delays, especially with regards to on-site access”. Additionally, it is “liaising with the French authorities to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to ensure the security of clients and staff” and has asked delegates to check the event website, “which will be updated on a regular basis”.
Reed Expositions also “express[ed] its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of [the] terror attacks, and will respect the three days of national mourning declared by the French president.”
Audio exhibitors at SATIS 2015 (17–19 November) include Avid, Calrec, Jünger, PMC, Riedel, Minnetonka, Wisycom, SSL and Lawo.
129 people were killed and 415 injured on 13 November when Islamist terrorists staged a series of coordinated mass shootings and suicide bombings – the deadliest at an Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan theatre – across Paris. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility.
