What is it?
A hand-held digital recorder offering (up to) 24-bit/96kHz linear PCM recording to SD or SDHC memory cards.

With a choice of 44.1kHz or 48kHz sample rates and the ability to record and play back in MP3 format (up to 320kbps), the R-09HR allows files to be monitored through headphones and/or exported to a computer. It incorporates IARC (Isolated Adaptive Recording Circuit) technology - a newly-developed, dedicated analogue circuit optimised for recording with the R-09HR’s A/D converter - and a split analogue/digital power supply designed to eliminate DC interference. In addition to the built-in stereo mic’ the unit can also be used with an external mic’ and includes a dedicated input control, mono/stereo selector, low-cut filter and gain boost. A 32GB memory card provides a maximum 900 minutes recording at 24-bit/96khz. Digital audio files are transferred via USB 2.0 connection; a 600MB, 44.1 kHz/16-bit recording takes around five minutes to transfer. The R-09HR is supplied with Cakewalk Pyro Audio Creator LE software for WAV/MP3 file editing.
