NTP Technology presents broadcasting solutions at IBC 2019

The scalable nature of NTP's products makes them ideal for post-production for broadcast and transmission chains

NTP Technology, an audio-routing and format conversion company, is showcasing its scalable solutions for broadcast audio at IBC 2019 (booth B52, hall 8).

These broadcast audio solutions revolve around the same core – the Penta 720 and Penta 721– and the scalable nature of the products makes them ideal for post-production for broadcast and transmission chains.

The Penta 720 supports SDI format: it can be configured to act as a dedicated SDI bridge, connecting to and converting between SDI-Dante, SDI-MADI and SDI-AES.

Bridging between SDI and Dante is of particular importance these days, with so many broadcasters moving toward IP audio solutions. Key features and benefits in this context include embedding/de-embedding Dante audio in up to 16 SDI signals, direct audio exchange between SDI-signals, support for 3G, HD and SD-SDI, optional audio delay up to 128 seconds, silence detection and PPM on all inputs and outputs, and router control (e.g. ProBel control protocol).

The one rack-unit Penta 721 offers the same flexibility as the Penta 720, but without the option to install additional I/O cards. On the other hand, it is highly portable.

Finally, Penta 720 and Penta 721 units, along with dedicated control panels, can be coupled to create facility-wide solutions.
