What is it?The Penta 725 series is a new generation of audio routers enabling compact, powerful systems to be built on a modular basis. DetailsHoused in a 1RU 19” chassis, the Penta 725 has a capacity of 384 x 384 cross points and incorporates AES3 and optical MADI interfaces. The system is controlled via TCP/IP from the NTP 635-300 controller (with NTP client applications like BLISS and VMC), from the NTP 625-801 main router or from third-party control systems. The Penta 725 series is based on a hardware platform with an “extremely powerful” programmable router and DSP processing core capable of handling more than 1000 x 1000 cross points.
Penta 725 incorporates 64 AES3 stereo and 4 MADI inputs/outputs for interfacing digital audio sources. Two high-speed bi-directional links are available for connection to other 625 or Penta 725 systems - with 128 channels @ 48 kHz on optical single mode/multi-mode interface - and an AES3 monitor output is included for monitoring of inputs and outputs. The system also incorporates four bidirectional MADI links (acc. to AES10 with optical single mode/multi mode interface) plus 64 stereo bidirectional AES3 links on six 50-pin D-sub female connectors.

An AES3 audio monitor with true monitoring is available on all inputs and outputs and in addition to remote control via TCP I/P, router settings can be controlled locally using front panel navigation keys. The Penta 725 also features a redundant 90-250V AC mains power supply with 12V service supply.

Spanish broadcaster orders NTP routers

State broadcaster Radio Nacional de España has ordered 15 NTP 625 digital audio routing systems for installation across its regional studios. The contract was negotiated by NTP’s Spanish distributor, Lexon Broadcast.
