What is it?A phantom power supply for use with one stereo microphone or a pair of mono condenser mic’s. DetailsThe N 248 supplies 48V phantom power via XLR 3-type connectors with DC-free audio signal outputs. The design includes a remote control used to vary the nominal phantom voltage of 48V over a +/- 3V range. Mixed operation is possible, with one channel remote controlling a TLM 170 R mic, while the second output supplies a conventional model. Set to its P48 position, all conventional microphones can be used. The five directional patterns of the TLM 170 R can also be remote controlled with rotary switches. In standard use, cable lengths up to 300m are permissible; the N 248 is powered from a 5V – 15V DC supply or AC mains.
