FINLAND: TomFloor Production's Location Factory is the world's first mobile recording unit to be equipped with a DiGiCo SD8 console, reports PSN-e. The decision to purchase an SD8 follows the highly successful deployment by associate company Akun Tehdas of two SD8s on Finnish band Eppu Normaali's recent tour.

Along with the SD8, the Location Factory facility includes a 96-input Pro Tools HD3

system for recording, SSL MadiDelta Link and Lynx Aurora interfaces, and a Rosendahl NanosyncHD for system clocking.

"The routings and all the features are very transparent; I like the fact that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to learn how to set up the system," said TomFloor Production's Tomi Pietil_. "It is a really flexible and easy to use console. [...] With Akun Tehdas already owning DiGiCo consoles, it is also easy to build expanded systems, if needed."
