Making a BVE debut is Genelec’s room-adapting Smart Active Monitors, including the 8340 and 8350 models.
Compatible with the new generation of Genelec GLM 2.0 speaker calibration system, the expanded 8300 range represents the most comprehensive and accurate room-correction system Genelec has produced to date.
“Constantly innovating, Genelec’s pioneering solutions are a must-see at BVE 2017 and we’re excited to be debuting products and workflows on the HHB Communications and Source Distribution stands,” says Alex Theakston, marketing manager, Source Distribution.
Also showcased will be seamless integration of Genelec 8430 with Avid Pro Tools via AoIP audio interface products including DAD AX32, DX32R, NTP Penta 720 and the brand new Avid MTRX, which makes its UK debut.
NTP Technology, is using the show as the global launch for the new Digital Audio Bridge, DAD DX32R (pictured).
The DX32R provides conversion between Dante/AES67, and not only MADI but also AES. It includes a coax MADI interface and eight AES3 interfaces. It can be expanded with a further two MADI interfaces, either optical or coax. A built-in router allows the user to pick and choose any channels from any interface to be routed to Dante/AES67 and vice versa.
Apart from providing routing of audio channels, the DX32R with an optional Pro Mon 2 license can also perform summing/mixing of channels. Designed for mission-critical applications, the DX32R includes as standard a redundant Dante interface and redundant power supplies plus two optional MADI interfaces which can also operate in redundant mode.
The show marks the UK debut of Wohler Technologies’ new iAM-VIDEO-2-MPEG (pictured). Part of the iAMTM Series, Wohler’s new iAM-VIDEO-2-MPEG provides high-quality, intuitive monitoring of multiple signal types within a compact form factor.
It is equipped with a variety of metering options and supports analog, AES3 and MADI inputs, with unique options for VoIP formats including MPEG2/4 TS and SMPTE 2022-6, the AoIP formats DanteTM, RavennaTM and AES67, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, and a growing range of additional I/O options via a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) interface.
Its high-quality touchscreen panel features simple to navigate menus, while the physical front panel controls provide access to main and auxiliary volume controls, balance control and a front-mounting USB port for software updates.
BVE also marks the UK debut of Yellowtec’s second generation Intellimix desktop mixer (pictured). Creating a whole new G-Touch fader experience, Yellowtec presents an ultra slim design of the Intellmix which can easily take on complex tasks.
With the next generation of audio connectivity already on board with its build in Dante 4×4 technology, users are plug ‘n’ play ready to interface with the world’s most popular AoIP platform.
Zoom is showcasing for the first time in the UK, the new F4 multi track field recorder; the new Q2n handy video recorder; and the F-Control FRC-8 mixing surface for F8 and F4 recorders at BVE 2017.
The new F4, a 6-input/8-track field recorder (pictured), offers creators Hollywood-quality sound for film at an unprecedented price. With four super-low-noise mic preamps, precise time code, and a solid metal build, the F4 is the ideal recorder for creators looking to take their filmmaking projects to the next level.
Like the multi-award-winning Zoom F8, the F4 is equipped with high-quality mic preamps, offering pristine recording and playback at resolutions up to 24-bit/192 kHz. For precise audio/video syncing, the F4 uses a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy—a first at this price point.
Zoom Q2n is the most compact video camera for music recording. The handy video recorder gives musicians the power to create high-definition videos with great-sounding audio (up to 24-bit/96 kHz recording). Ideal for capturing live performances and rehearsal sessions, the Q2n is equipped with a high-quality built-in X/Y microphone and a 160-degree wide-angle lens.
The F-Control FRC-8 is a brand new dedicated remote controller for Zoom’s F-series. The fully-featured mixing surface works intuitively with both F8 and F4 Field Multitrack Recorders.
The F-Control makes recording and mixing with the F-series Recorders simple with nine faders total (8 + Master), transport and fast access controls, such as Trim/Pan, and Track Arming. Adding to its ease of use are Track Scene edit buttons and programmable switches for monitoring channels and output levels.
The F-Control easily connects to both the F8 and F4 via a standard USB cable. The mixing unit is sleek and lightweight enough to fit into a gear bag and yet its durable metal chassis makes it suitable for the most demanding creators.
