HHB Communications was today named RTW’s distributor for the UK and Republic of Ireland. The announcement of the partnership, which takes effect immediately, was made on HHB’s stand at the BVE show (J43) at the ExCeL centre, London.
RTW is a German pro-audio manufacturer which specialises in visual audio monitoring for the broadcast, production, post-production and quality-control sectors. A market leader in loudness technology, it recently debuted its first software product, the Loudness Tools Masterclass plug-in.
“The DPP’s adoption of EBU R128 loudness standards has made the UK a very important market for innovative audio loudness tools,” RTW CEO Andreas Tweitmann told an audience of journalists, customers and friends at BVE. “HHB is the UK’s leading authority on loudness technology, and we are confident in their expertise to deliver the best sales and technical support to top broadcast and post production facilities.” (Pictured at the show is Tweitmann [right] with HHB managing director Ian Jones.)
Also at BVE, HHB subsidiary Source hosted the worldwide launch and first public display of Røde Microphones’ new RØDELink Digital Wireless System, NTG4/NTG4+ shotgun microphones and NTR ribbon microphone and the UK debut of the Genelec 8300 range of SAM ‘Smart Active Monitors’ (pictured right). In addition, stand J43 witnessed the global unveiling of Yellowtec’s PUC Mic LEA, which integrates the real-time LEA DSP Engine from the iXm digital recording microphone into a new audio interface, and the iXm Connect recording app for iOS.
The RedNet range by PSNPresents sponsor Focusrite is also well represented, as is Pro Tools hardware and software by Avid and TC Electronic’s loudness metering products (see BVE 2015: HHB and co-exhibitor Nugen reveal show line-up).
