BVE 2014: TSL to exhibit SoundField surround products

TSL products has announced that a range of its SoundField surround sound microphones, control units and upmix/downmix processors will be on display at BVE 2014. The microphones that will be on display are the battery powered, ST450 portable microphone system and the DSF-1 digital performance microphone.

Other products that will be featured at BVE include the DSF-B Digital Broadcast System, which consists of a DSF-2 surround microphone, DSF-2 controller and a DSF-3 processor, which can generate multi-channel audio from a single point source.

SoundField product manager Pieter Schillebeeckx, says: “Our line of SoundField products provides users with the ability to easily capture exceptional surround sound recordings from our single point source four-element microphones as well as the ability to upmix existing stereo material with our UPM-1 or X-1.”

The UPM-1 Upmix Processor, which allows real-time analysis of stereo source material, identification and separation of ambience from direct sound and the new X-1 Combined Upmix/Downmix Processor which handles ingest of surround material into a stereo workflow, will also be on display.
