BVE 2014: LaCie announces the Little Big Thunderbolt 2

Described as the fastest portable storage device in the world, LaCie's new product boasts speeds of up to 1,375MB/s.

The new portable storage device from LaCie will be making its UK debut at BVE in London.

LaCie says that it is the fastest portable storage device in the world, boasting speeds of up to 1,375MB/s for 4K and 3D video streaming and editing in real time. Weighing only 620g, the device is small enough to fit in the palm of the hand.

Sales director for Northern Europe at LaCie, Edouard Doutriaux, states: “The Little Big Disk Thunderbolt 2 builds on the success of its predecessor, which is currently the storage device of choice for many broadcasters and post-production houses around the world.”

“This new incarnation responds to the need for the speeds and storage capacity needed to work directly from RAW files and produce next generation 4K and 3D productions. We look forward to demonstrating its full range of capabilities to visitors at BVE 2014,” adds Doutriaux.

LaCie will also be demonstrating the 2big and 5big Thunderbolt RAID products that give up to 25TB capacity and speeds reaching 785MB/s.
