Several broadcast manufacturers and distributors have chosen BVE 2013 as their launch pad for new products. In among those listed in PSNEurope’s BVE 2013 show preview is Preco, who will be providing an exclusive preview of German manufacturer AVT’s new THipPro television talkshow system. In addition to the AVT preview, Preco will be launching the Mosaic II control surface by American broadcast manufacturer Logitek and the Merlin IP audio codec from Tieline. Sonifex is showing the new DaySequerra iLC2ST dual stereo loudness controller (pictured) that delivers EBU R128, ATSC A/85 CALM and ARIB-B32 loudness compliance simultaneously for two independent stereo TV broadcasts. Marcus Brooke, managing director of Sonifex said: "The iLC2ST is a breakthrough in quality and price offering independent loudness control of two stereo audio feeds for under £3,000. The other products in the DaySequerra range are multi-channel units designed for surround sound loudness control and monitoring, so the release of a more affordable, dedicated dual stereo device is good news for our customers who can now experience the incredible audio quality offered by DTS Neural processing at a much lower cost. Together with compliance logging over Ethernet and an option for dual power supplies, the iLC2ST is a leap forward in performance over price.” Other launches include Roland Systems Group’s UK debut of the Roland M-200i, a compact 32 channel digital mixing console with iPad control, and Sennheiser’s first showing of the FO-TX2-EC Fibre Optical Transmitter and FO-RX2-EC Fibre Optical Receiver, which are designed to enable remote receiving aerials for radio microphones to be placed at much greater distances than previously possible. Finally, Avid will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in the media and entertainment industry. Tom Cordiner, VP international sales at Avid, said: “Avid has been at the forefront of many of the key milestones in broadcast and post-production in this time; from the introduction of the first Media Composer that ran as a Mac-only application and kick-started non-linear editing in the late 1980s; to transforming global newsrooms with end-to-end, open, tapeless workflows in the 2000s; and up to today where we’re continuing to enable our customers to work in new ways that 25 years ago they couldn’t have imagined possible.” Free registration is available using priority code BVE483 at Online registrants also have a chance to win one of three £500 cash prizes when they attend BVE 2013 for two days or more, between 9:30 on Tuesday 26 and 16.30 on Thursday 28 February. Terms and conditions apply.
