Billy Corgan tells PSNEurope about the production of his latest record in our November issue

The latest issue of PSNEurope is a studio special, as we head into the studio with some of the biggest producers in world, including Ben Hillier, Joe Chiccarelli and this month’s cover star Billy Corgan to talk gear and recording techniques.

Back last month with brand new solo album Ogilala, Smashing Pumpkins legend Corgan is no stranger to the studio, having produced and co-produced several of the alt rock pioneers’ hit records over the past 25 years. In our November edition he tells us all about the making of his latest solo effort and how he collaborated with rock producer extraordinaire Rick Rubin to create one of this year’s best and most unexpected rock releases.

Elsewhere, Chiccarelli give us the inside track on how he produced the upcoming Morrissey album Low In High School, while Hillier, who has produced hit records with the likes of Depeche Mode, Blur, U2 and many more tells us all about the production of his latest collaboration with Nadine Shah on her stunning, politically-charged new album Holiday Destination.

On top of that, we have an exclusive interview with the head honchos leading the newly formed Austrian Audio brand – made up of former AKG engineers who lost their jobs after Harman Pro closed the doors of its Vienna HQ. Here they reveal their ambitions for the market and explain why they took the step to pool the brand's most talented technicians in light of Harman Pro's mass redundancies, which saw some 650 employees lose their jobs.

Meanwhile, NAMM fill us in on its educational offering for the January 2018 show and Simon Duff goes behind the scenes to find out about the sound behind North London’s Hospitality In The Park extravaganza.

For all this and more, check out the November issue of PSNEurope, out now.
