Yamaha, Audinate to stage online training

test 16 February 2010

WORLD: The ‘webinars’ aim to assist those working with Dante-MY16-AUD card-equipped Yamaha digital mixing solutions, reports David Davies. Geared towards the requirements of end-users, audio consultants, rental houses and installation companies, the two sessions will each commence with an overview of the Dante networking solution.

They will then move on to a discussion of the installation, configuration and networking of multiple Dante-MY16-AUD cards.

The sessions will also examine how Dante Virtual Soundcard – included with each Dante-MY16-AUD card purchase – can help with multi-track audio recording, and the right way of connecting each card in its Yamaha host to Dante-enabled devices from other manufacturers. A Q&A session involving Yamaha and Audinate staff will round out each webinar.

Nick Cook, European marketing director of Yamaha Commercial Audio Europe, tells PSN-e: "Dante is a new and innovative solution for building audio networks with a whole range of Yamaha mixers, processors and amps. This online seminar will present all of Dante’s benefits as well as providing tips and practical advice."

Hosted by Audinate at the company’s HQ in Australia, the first session will take place on March 3, timed for a US audience with a start time of 1pm (west coast)/4pm (east coast). The second (identical) session will take place on March 4 and be timed for European audiences, starting at 10am (UK)/11am (continental Europe). The times of the sessions coincide with early morning and mid-evening in Australia on March 4, making either suitable for Australian audiences.

Further information and registration details for the March 3 session can be found here, while those for the March 4 event are here.
