Void Acoustics Infinite QX

Nigel Lord 27 July 2010

What is it?A range of 4-channel amplifiers said to reflect the current demand for greater power from smaller, lightweight equipment. DetailsThe new QX range is designed for medium to large touring applications, theatre and stage productions. Based on Void’s Infinite X architecture, it currently includes three models: Infinite QX4 offering 4 x 600W; the 4 x 1000W Infinite QX5 and the Infinite QX6 which delivers 4 x 1200W. Ratings for all three versions are quoted for 4 ohm loads – though the QX4 and QX5 models can operate down to 2 ohms and also in bridge mode. The QX series makes use of a newly-developed advanced MOSFET output stage – said to combine high fidelity with maximum reliability – and also includes a fully-adjustable 24dB/oct L-R crossover filter on every channel – each configurable for either hi-pass or lo-pass at any frequency between 70Hz and 5kHz.
