Two concert hall PRO6 sales for Midas

Two renowned European music venues have installed Midas PRO digital consoles. The first is L’Auditori, one of the Barcelona’s most iconic cultural institutions, which has three different performance spaces and seats 3,200.    For larger events, it has been fitted with a PRO6 digital mixing system which provides up to 64 simultaneous input processing channels. According to Midas the VCAs and POPulation groups allow efficiency and flexibility, particularly when dealing with large orchestras, which often require a large number of layers and channels.   The PRO6 is accompanied by a small but powerful PRO2 console, ideal for moving between different venues and more intimate recitals.   Carles Ribo, the product manager for Seesound (Midas’ partner in Spain), cited the user friendly control, sound quality and flexibility as reasons behind choosing the Midas systems.   Denmark’s Musikhuset Aarhus is the largest concert house in Northern Europe and has also invested in a Midas PR06, along with a DL351 Modular stage box and two DL431 mic splitters. Technical Director Jonas Knive (pictured, right) has praised the unique user interface, saying that “the interface with POP and VCA groups makes it quick and easy to navigate between several channels and ensures quick access to top priority channels”.   "The fact that so many prestigious venues are now installing Midas digital at the heart of their audio systems emphasizes we are now producing the best-sounding, most intuitive, flexible and greatest value proposition products available today”, said Richard Ferriday, brand development manager from Midas.   Story: Catherine Kilkenny   www.midasconsoles.com
