VDT seek contributions for Tonmeistertagung

The Verband Deutscher Tonmeister (VDT) has announced that the 28th Tonmeistertagung will be taking place from 20 to 23 November in Cologne, at the Congress Centrum Nord in the Cologne Exhibition Centre.

In the 50 years since its inception, Tonmeistertagung has grown into one of the most important international conventions for the professional audio industry.

The event will focus on the latest trends in product development, findings from research, practical application and professional topics. It also provides a platform for industry professionals to share their experiences.

To ensure a broad and representative overview of the latest developments in technology and markets, Verband Deutscher Tonmeister calls for interested sound editors, sound engineers, artists, producers, scientists, publishers, companies and institutes to take an active role in creating the programme for this renowned international specialist convention.

For anyone interested in taking part, contributions can be proposed until 31 July 2014.

Talks and poster presentations will focus on current industry developments and practical topics. Workshops will offer the opportunity to showcase hands-on audio-visual work.

Several halls will be set up for high-quality presentations of a variety of formats, including (3D) multichannel audio and HD videos. The same is planned for the Talkback forum where sound editors, producers and students can present their productions for a ‘critical and constructive discourse with colleagues’.
