The IABM supports IT Broadcast Workflow and Beyond HD Masters conferences

The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) has confirmed its support of sister publication TVBEurope’s IT Broadcast Workflow and Beyond HD Masters conferences in 2013.
The IABM is the only international association that represents the broadcast and media technology supply industry worldwide. It is the authoritative voice of the industry and seeks to support member companies via a range of benefits, discounts, events, advisory services and training.
Confirmed as chairman of the 11 June Beyond HD Masters is IABM director of Business Development & Technology John Ive. He reprises his role following his involvement with TVBEurope’s HD Masters and 3D Masters series of events.
Ive has a career in the television industry spanning 35 years including periods with the BBC, the former IBA (Independent Broadcasting Authority), Sony Professional and more recently the IABM.
He is a member of the European and UK High Definition Forum, IBC Council and director of the Professional MPEG Forum. He is also a fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), a fellow and silver medal holder of the Royal Television Society, a chartered engineer and member of the IET.
Beyond HD Masters follows the successful series of HD and 3D Masters conferences from TVBEurope that helped to chart and forecast the maturation of those emerging technologies in the context of the broadcast technology marketplace.
Beyond HD Masters 2013 asks the question: what’s next on the horizon for European broadcast TV?If high definition is the new standard definition, then what’s beyond HD?Is 4K the next target for high-end TV production, broadcast and display? And what role for 3D in the future – niche curiosity or mass acceptance?
