Swap over to Autograph’s new Dante switcher at ABTT

Autograph Sound, the theatre audio supplier, will launch the latest in its Signature Series range of “dedicated problem-solving” devices at the ABTT event at Alexandra Palace this week.

The XDANTE-1 Dante Network Audio Changeover System has been developed by a team of Autograph engineers led by Rob Tory as a “simple and efficient” way to switch between dual-redundant Dante sources.

The technology has been created in response to “real-world demand”, says Autograph, and incorporates two switchers, each capable of switching between two 32-channel sources. These can be used independently, or combined to switch between two 64-channel sources. The XDANTE-1 integrates with Autograph’s XUSB-2 Mac/PC Switching System, features dual-redundant internal power supplies as standard and, whilst developed for theatrical audio, is also ideal for any other application where uninterrupted Dante network connectivity is vital.

It also includes another key feature found on other mission-critical Signature Series units: the ‘Big Red Button’. As Autograph’s Duncan Bell puts it: “The XDANTE-1 includes a large, illuminated red button that can be found instantly in any lighting conditions, which will instantaneously and noiselessly switch between networks if necessary.”

The new unit will be available for viewing on Autograph’s stand at the ABTT Show, 6-7 June (…this week!).
