Star line-up complete for PSNPresents!

The final name joining the line-up for PSNPresents 4 on Wednesday, 2 November, is Munzie Thind, sound designer at Grand Central Recording Studios – the man behind the audio for the BBC Music’s God Only Knows video.

He will be on the panel with supervising sound editor James Mather and leading Foley/sound FX man Pete Burgis, who have both worked extensively on the Harry Potter film series, where they will chew over ‘sound to picture’ issues.

MunzieThind (pictured right) has established himself as one of Soho’s leading sound designers, since joining Grand Central Recording Studios (GCRS) in 1995. He has worked with the cream of the creative industry, both in the UK and internationally, on campaigns for brands such as Haig Club, Sony Experia, VISA, BT Sport, GoCompare and the BBC.

One of the best-respected music editors in the industry, Thind has been responsible for delivering audio excellence to such critically-acclaimed work as BBC Music’s God Only Knows music video, the striking National Autistic Society, Sensory Overload film and Rekorderlig’s Silver Skaters. During his time at GCRS, Munzie has received such prestigious accolades as Cannes Lions, Kinsale Sharks, Clios and Creative Circle Awards.

Meanwhile, Peter Gabriel arranger/collaborator John Metcalfe will be appearing alongside Grammy-winning Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green day) and PSAwards hero Wes Maebe (Ellie Goulding, Carly Simon) for another evening of sensational studio tales and glimpses behind the curtain of the sound-to-picture universe.

Register for this exciting night, which is being held at the Sway Bar on Great Queen Street, near Holborn central London.

Sponsored by Focusrite and Roland, the event kicks off at 7pm, with the first chat/Q&A session at 7.30pm (recording studios) and the second at 8.45pm (sound-to-picture). It’s a free event, and there’s an even a free bar to start things off… and by 9.45pm, we should be back in that bar, for a final hour of essential networking and socialising.
