Speakers announced for PLASA Focus: Glasgow 201626 November 2015
PLASA Focus: Glasgow returns to the SECC on 20–21 January with another two-day pro-audio/lighting seminar programme discussing the latest technologies for the live events industries.
Audio highlights include Orbital Sound and Nexo’s Stuart Kerrison’s Modular PA design: the way to maximise your ROI, in which they will explore how PA system design has evolved and how hire companies should choose the right design for them, and Line arrays unravelled by The Warehouse Sound Services and d&b audiotechnik, discussing the pros and cons of using line-array directivity technology.
Christopher Toulmin, PLASA’s director of events, says: “PLASA Focus Glasgow has been received by the industry as the only show in Scotland offering visitors the chance to meet some of the region’s designers, engineers, product specialists and end users while seeing some of the latest product releases and engaging with PLASA’s popular free seminar programme.
“The announcement from VisitScotland investing in a new 10-year ‘collaborative strategy’ to grow Scotland’s £3.5 billion events industry has reinforced the need for the Focus show to showcase the latest technologies for the events industry.”
Other highlights from the programme include Adlib – who recently acquired EFX Audio as part of a push into the Scottish market – hosting a demo session with L-Acoustics and Soundcraft on Wednesday 20 January, and dedicated seminars by the two manufacturers.
