Sound Technology to showcase new Soundcraft Vi7000 and Vi5000 consoles on 27 October13 October 2015
Sound Technology, Harman Professional’s distributor in the UK and ROI, will host an open day for the Soundcraft Vi series of mixing consoles – including new models the Vi7000 and Vi5000 – on 27 October at John Henry’s in London.
The Vi7000 (pictured) and Vi5000 desks, launched earlier this year, feature 96kHz processing, BSS DPR901ii dynamic EQ, an increased channel count of 128 inputs and 32 mono/stereo busses and a doubling of I/O capability compared to their predecessors (to 392 audio streams).
The new consoles also include an extension to the Vi’s VM2 radio-microphone status monitoring feature, with Shure ULXD systems now recognised (see PL+S 2015: Soundcraft and Shure announce collaboration) alongside AKG’s DMS800 and WMS4500 systems.
The open day will also showcase two “exclusive product previews” from AKG and a demonstration of JBL touring loudspeakers.
