UK: Sonnox ELITE collects the entire Oxford plug-in product line, writes David Davies. The new boxed set – available at a 40% discount from individual unit prices – collects all seven Oxford plug-ins: EQ, Dynamics, Inflator, Transient Modulator, Reverb, Limiter and SuprEsser. According to Sonnox, the new collection provides mixing, mastering, post and broadcast engineers with “an arsenal of sophisticated processing tools designed to meet all their requirements”.

Sonnox ELITE is priced at _1,554 for the TDM version and _744 for Native. The company has also launched two smaller collections: Sonnox Essential (collating the Oxford EQ, Dynamics, Reverb and SuprEsser plug-ins), priced at _1,222 for the TDM version and _521 for Native; and Sonnox Enhance (collecting Oxford Inflator, Limiter and Transient Modulator), retailing at _634 for TDM and _319 for Native.

“We have looked carefully at what people want, and feedback proves there is a definite trend towards an all-in-one bundle that represents the best value for money – hence Sonnox ELITE,” commented Nathan Eames, Sonnox’s sales & marketing manager.

Previously known as Sony Oxford Plugins prior to being spun out from Sony in April 2007 (full story here), Sonnox now counts numerous high-profile producers and engineers among its users, including Wayne Wilkins (Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield), David Bascombe (Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp) and Richard Chappell (Peter Gabriel, Sinead O’Connor).
