test 3 April 2007

UK: Broadcast audio specialist Sonifex has confirmed a new distribution arrangement in Germany. As of April 1st, the company will now be distributed exclusively in the country by Orange Tec, who will be working from an office in Stuttgart, reports PSN-e.

Orange Tec was founded by Ulrich Otte, whose considerable experience in pro audio and broadcast includes stints with Audio Export, MTM Marko and SADiE GmbH.

"Orange Tec has been set up to take technical and commercial care of products from a manufacturer with innovative concepts for the audio and video industries, together with some new business areas," commented Otte. "Sonifex has been an established brand for many years in Germany. Additionally, sales of Sonifex products have been increasing by a minimum of 50%, year on year, for the last four years due to the strong product range and their high quality… With stock-holding of regular selling products, we aim to offer excellent customer support both before and after the sale."

Otte highlighted increasing take-up in the German market of Sonifex products, including the new S2 hybrid analogue/digital mixer and the Sonifex Redbox range of audio interfaces. He added: "Sonifex have such a large product range that my first few months will be spent making people aware of all of the different products that they have for radio and TV broadcasting."

Sonifex's managing director, Marcus Brooke, noted: "We've been working with Ulrich for many years so he has an in-depth knowledge of our products, as well as a real enthusiasm and commitment. We're very excited about this new opportunity and are confident that our sales will go from strength to strength."
