Singapore concert debut for RCF speakers

test 27 January 2009

SINGAPORE: RCF TT+ Series loudspeakers were deployed during a prestigious recent concert in the country, reports David Davies. The Hokkien Folk Song Concert was staged in the 900-seat Concert Hall at the Singapore Conference Hall (SCO). Meanwhile, RCF’s Fausto Incerti says that the Italian manufacturer is finding the Far Eastern market to be “very receptive” to its products.

The production for the SCO show – which featured local touring musicians accompanying various performers from Taiwan and Singapore – was handled by TCR Music Station.

One of the main reasons for FOH engineer Dominic Koh’s section of the TT+ system was its self-powered design and built-in DSP, which saved the need for amplifier racks at the side of the stage. The main FOH specification comprised four RCFN TTL33-A line array modules and a pair of TTS28-A subs, deployed in a ground-stacked configuration at both sides of the stage. Eight TT25-As and four TT22-As provided on-stage monitoring, while four ART722-As served as front-fills.

“Overall, we were very satisfied throughout the show,” noted Chan Yi Ren, executive producer of TCR Music Station.

Regarding the company’s broader presence in the region, RCF general manager Fausto Incerti tells PSN-e: “We are continuing our penetration in the Far East market which, as far as sales are concerned, is very receptive to our products. In fact, our business in this area increased steadily during the last years and the brand awareness is growing and strengthening among professionals. This result confirms the effectiveness of our commercial strategy and makes us confident to achieve our long-term goals in this market.”
