Scattered Media announces plans for second exhibition – evenTech Ireland

test 25 September 2007

UK: Encouraged by the enthusiastic response to the recent unveiling of plans for Scattered Media’s first regional entertainment and installation technology showcase, the company’s prime movers, Darren Brechin and Iain McLean, have gone public with details of a second exhibition. evenTech Scotland – to be held in February 2008 – will now be followed ten months later by evenTech Ireland, writes David Davies.

Scheduled for November 18th and 19th at RDS in Dublin, evenTech Ireland is intended to provide a regional platform for manufacturers and suppliers to exhibit and demonstrate the latest industry trends and technologies available locally, and to meet face-to-face with those involved in Ireland’s major entertainment and installation projects.

Speaking to PSN-e, Darren Brechin confirms that in the wake of evenTech Ireland’s launch at PLASA, a number of companies have already expressed interest in appearing at the event. “The fact that strong interest has been generated so quickly has been quite surprising,” he admits. “Everybody seems to be up for that show.”

Meanwhile, plans for Scattered Media’s first exhibition, evenTech Scotland, are continuing apace. Brechin confirms that “only 4 or 5 stands” are now left for a show that is expected to house 45 separate stands and a total of 60-70 exhibiting companies. The event will take place at Glasgow’s Marriott Hotel on February 20th and 21st.

Clearly encouraged by the strong levels of interest in the evenTech format, Brechin says that he and McLean are now “well ahead of schedule… We are extremely happy with the progress we have made.” Accordingly, he reveals that Scattered Media is now examining the possibility of two other events.
