Pro Sound Awards: LAST DAY to get your Rising Star entries in!4 August 2017
Entries close at midnight tonight to find a talented Rising Star in the pro audio industry.
The much-coveted Rising Star award, which is chosen every year by the team at our sister publication Audio Media International, is one of the highlights of the Pro Sound Awards, which takes place at London’s Steel Yard on Thursday, September 28 after four years at Ministry of Sound.
You’ve got one more day to put forward the industry’s top up-and-comers for their chance to win this prestigious prize, as nominations close later tonight (August 5) at 12am. The overall winner will be announced live on stage at the Pro Sound Awards ceremony in September.
Anyone aged 30 or under or with two years or less of industry experience currently working within the world of pro audio – engineers, producers, technicians, sound designers etc. – is eligible for inclusion. Entries can either come from somebody wishing to nominate a colleague, apprentice or assistant, or from the individuals themselves.
Watch last year’s winner George Murphy (Eastcote Studios) pick up his award.
The Pro Sound Awards shortlist was announced earlier this week, with the best in the biz narrowed down as the finalists in categories including live, installation and broadcast audio.
So if you think you deserve to be included, or if you know someone who does, send a short ‘pitch’ to AMI senior staff writer Colby Ramsey (firstname.lastname@example.org) explaining why you, or the person you have in mind, should be considered. Please provide as much information as possible on the person’s recent projects and past achievements, as this will increase their chances of being selected.
For more information on the awards, including the full list of categories, visit the Pro Sound Awards website.
Tickets are available for just £55 (plus VAT), and can also be purchased through the Awards site.
